About Us

Over twenty years ago when I was opening my medical practice, a friend inquired, “Would you go to a gynecologist who has never been to a gynecologist?” Today our practice consists of two women clinicians and a staff of women, all of whom share many experiences in common with our patients. I believe that there is a strong feeling of kinship that permeates the air in our office and makes all of us know that we are part of something special — even if a PAP smear may also be involved! :-) JS

Kathryn Cervi, CRNPKathryn Cervi, C.R.N.P.

Hello. My name is Katie Cervi, and I'm a Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner. I've been with the practice since 2001. Prior to working here, I worked at Johns Hopkins Bayview in their OB/Gyn Department.

A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse (RN) with advanced training in diagnosing and treating illness. Nurse Practitioners prescribe medications, treat illnesses, and administer physical exams. For my Nurse Practitioner training, I earned a Master of Science from the University of Maryland. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Nurse practitioners work in collaboration with physicians. We also try to provide holistic care and concentrate on preventive health care.

I look forward to meeting you soon.

I hold a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Maryland. I enjoy spending free time hiking, biking, working out, playing tennis and share my house with my husband Joe.

I look forward to caring for the women in our community.
